Based Ludlow and nestled in the beautiful Shropshire Hills, Cleestangate Gundogs are committed to delivering professional training sessions to teach both the handler and the dog.
From puppy age through to fully grown dogs we are happy to assist you with your training requirements. We can provide you with the training to achieve the perfect partnership with your family pet or fully trained gundog.
We can offer one to one or group training, all of which are bespoke packages. We have excellent facilities including a stocked rabbit pen, 10 acres of ground including hedges, fences, stone walls and pools. Prior to the shooting and trialing season we have access to game cover crops which is fantastic preparation for the upcoming season. We also run training days to give you and your dog the opportunity to train in company which proves an excellent introduction for young dogs to the shoot field. Lessons can include starting pistols and dummy launchers for simulated training depending on your requirements. Please get in touch for more information.

Progressing to marked, blind and directional retrieves.
Training days
You might wish to have your dog as a shooting companion or to take it picking up, perhaps you wish to progress on to working tests and eventually field trials.
Training days allow guns to practice their skills with their dogs ready for the shooting season.
